The Perfect Rose Gold Manicure

To say that I’m obsessed with rose gold is an understatement…Rose Gold EVERYTHING. That is my new motto. I just purchased two new bags with  rose gold details, and I cant wait to share them with you in a haul video!

Being such a rose gold fan, of course I had to find the perfect combo for a manicure. I used one coat of OPI Designer De Better with two coats of Essie Luxeffects topcoat in A Cut Above.

What do you think? Do you like it? Let me know in the comments! xoxo-Jen

  1. Every time I see this polish at the drug store I pass it up because I think about how difficult it would be to remove all that chunky glitter, but now that I see it applied I think it will be all worth it, I need it now!!!!! xo

    • Just cut a round cotton pad in half, pour regular nail polish remover on one half and wrap around nailbed and tip of finger, cut out a piece of aluminum foil (start with thumb first) by the time you get to your pinky doing these same steps, go back to the thumb, press down on nail bed, wiggle a bit, slide it off and voila! Glitter be gone! (Saw it in a tutorial :P)

      • Sorry forgot to include the most important part! Cut out a square of aluminum foil, take the middle part of the foil so its on the tip of the nail bed and push the foil down around the nail so the top of your nail and finger is covered with it.

  2. LOVE IT! I’m going to go on a hunt for the Essie polish now.

And for removal, it shouldn’t be too hard. You just need enough polish remover to dip your nails into for about a minute or so, some cotton balls and patience.

    Thanks for the share! :)

  3. sooo pretty Jenn! I saw that one yesterday. I bought Essie she’s picture perfect (lilac) from the new resort collection:)
I am loving rose gold everything, especially want a watch in that color!

  4. This is positively gorgeous! I can’t take my eyes off of it…. I love rose gold too, but it’s the only metal that doesn’t go with my skin tone. I can wear both gold & silver, and just a little bit of rose gold – but I can’t go overboard, like with a full rose gold watch or something like that – it just doesn’t look good. But I love it! And this mani is awesome!

  5. I just tried this with Deborah Lippmann’s Stardust as a base and it is so pretty! I never would have thought of doing this on my own and it’s so sparkly! Thank you so much for posting this and showing it in some of your videos.

  6. Amaze! I have A Cut Above and have avoided it because it seems high maintenance when it comes to removal—- I have a rose gold watch that needs to meet this polish thought! Thanks for the polish-spiration.

  7. I absolutely love this color. I have been using Orly Rage under Essie a cut above. I get sooo many complements on it!! I am currently wearing it on my toes! Thanks for the idea!!!!
